Chris Allaire M.Ed. has extensive work experience in the field of technical instruction and development. Chris started their career in 1974 as an Electricians Mate Second Class in the US Navy. After completing their military service, they joined GE Energy in 1980 as a Field Service Technician and worked there until 2008.
In 1991, Chris became a Co-Owner of Destiny Sales until 1996, before joining MQ Power in 2008 as the National Dealer Support Manager. Chris then worked at Everest College from 2010 to 2011 as the Lead Electrical Instructor and the Electrical Department Chair.
From 2011 to the present, Chris has held the position of Technical Instructor/Developer at Shermco Industries. In 2012, they also took on the role of Technical Instructor/Developer at ASTD Fort Worth/Mid-Cities Chapter.
Chris's academic career started in 2014 when they became an Adjunct Faculty at both Texas State Technical College and North Lake College. Overall, their work experience spans over four decades and encompasses various roles in technical instruction, development, and management.
Chris Allaire M.Ed. completed a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the American College of Education from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2007, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Management from DeVry University. In 1983 to 1985, Chris earned an Associate of Arts and Science degree with a focus on Math, although the specific institution is unknown.
In addition to their academic degrees, Chris Allaire holds several certifications. In June 2016, they obtained the Certified Training Manager certification from the International Board of Standards for Training, Performance and Instruction (ibstpi). In May 2016, they also became a Certified Instructor through the same institution. Furthermore, in January 2016, Chris secured the Medic First Aid and CPR Instructor certification from the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service.
