Derek Vogt

Derek Vogt, a CPA, is currently working as a Software Engineer at Shibumi. Before that, Derek was a student at Flatiron School. Derek has experience in building user interfaces with React and using tools like Google Maps API and Firebase authentication. Derek has worked with Django to build backend systems including WebSockets for instant messaging and RESTful APIs. In previous roles, Derek has also worked in financial reporting, accounting implementation, and financial planning and analysis. Derek has a background in automation, collaboration with system engineers, and migration of business logic to ERP systems. Derek's education includes a degree from Elon University and completion of courses at Flatiron School.
