Stuart Wiggans

Stuart Wiggans has a diverse and extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Stuart is currently the Operations Director at Shield Safety Group, where they oversee multiple areas including audit, fire safety, safety consultancy, training, and quality management. Stuart started working at Shield Safety in 2022.

Prior to their current role, Stuart worked at Asda for over 13 years. Stuart started in 2008 as a Trading Law Manager and later became the Head of Trading Law Policy and Audit. In 2014, they were promoted to Senior Director, Operational Compliance, where they played a crucial role in the global start-up of Compliance within the company. Stuart was responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant environment for colleagues and customers, leading a team of professionals and managing multiple compliance areas. Stuart left Asda in 2022.

Before their time at Asda, Stuart worked at Tesco PLC. Stuart joined Tesco in 2001 as a Regional Trading Law Manager, ensuring compliance with food safety, health and safety, and trading standards. Stuart was later seconded to Hymall Stores in China as the Health & Safety Director. Stuart left Tesco in 2008.

Stuart's work experience also includes a role as the Head of International Operations at IVEC Limited, a subsidiary of EVILLE & JONES (G.B.) LIMITED. The duration of this role is not specified.

Stuart later pursued a Post Graduate Certificate in Management Studies at Leeds Beckett University, specializing in Business Administration and Management, from 2000 to 2001. In 2013, they attended Harvard Business School for the Directors Leadership Develop Programme in the field of Business. Currently, Stuart is enrolled at Leeds Beckett University, pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree through the Senior Leaders Masters Degree Apprenticeship program, specializing in Business. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including Associate of Faculty of Public Health from the UK Faculty of Public Health in 2023, Graduate Member of IOSH (GradIOSH) from the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health in 2022, Chartered Manager (Fellow) (CMgr FCMI) from the Chartered Management Institute in 2022, Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (FCIEH) from The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health in 2022, and Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner (CEnv) from The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health in 1998.
