John Wingate

John Wingate has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and sales industries. John currently works as the East Area Sales Director at Shield Therapeutics plc starting in December 2023. Previously, they held the role of Southeast Regional Sales Director at the same company from February 2022 to December 2023. Before joining Shield Therapeutics plc, John worked at AstraZeneca as a District Sales Manager from September 2017 to February 2022 and as a Senior Diabetes Specialty Representative from December 2013 to September 2017. Prior to that, they were a Metabolic Specialty Representative at Boehringer Ingelheim from May 2011 to December 2013 and a Diabetes & Cardiovascular Care Specialty Sales Representative at Takeda Pharmaceuticals from April 2004 to May 2011. John also had experience in sales at Pediamed Pharmaceuticals, where they managed a large territory promoting cough and cold products and directly sold to pharmacies. John began their career as a Senior Sales Representative at Datastream, where they sold Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and Enterprise Asset Management System Projects.

John Wingate attended Erskine College from 1995 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Sport Management, double majoring in both fields.
