Santosh Shanbhag

Santosh Shanbhag has extensive work experience in various financial roles. Santosh is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Shield Therapeutics plc since 2024. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Akili Interactive from 2019 to 2024. Santosh also held multiple positions at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, including Vice President and Assistant Corporate Controller, Vice President Head of International Finance and Accounting, Vice President Finance, Sr. Director Corporate Finance, Director Corp. Planning & Reporting, and Associate Director. Before that, they worked at Capgemini Consulting as a Manager and Sr. Consultant. Santosh also has experience working at Texas Instruments as a Business Development & Marketing Program Manager and Project Engineer, at PTC as a Coop Quality Assurance, and at Kirloskar Toyoda Textile Machinery as a Management Trainee.

Santosh Shanbhag holds a Master of Science degree in Management and System Design from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which they completed from 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, they completed another Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, from 1999 to 2001. Santosh completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University, graduating in 1998. Santosh also attended Poorna Prajna Education Center from 1982 to 1992, where they completed their High School education.
