SVP, Strategy at Shift4

Luke Thomas is the SVP of Strategy at Shift4. Prior to that, they were a Co-Founder at Reframe Therapy and an Private Equity Associate at BlackRock.

Luke has always been driven by a desire to help others. This led him to found Reframe Therapy, which lowers the barriers for psychologists, psychiatrists, and other mental health providers to start their own private practice. Reframe provides a one-stop shop for new practitioners, from flexible office space to crucial service offerings such as practice management software, accounting, billing, and marketing.

Before their work at Reframe Therapy, Luke was an Private Equity Associate at BlackRock. There, they created investment theses and led acquisition due diligence by creating financial models, conducting market research, analyzing business trends, vetting management teams, and conferring with industry experts and external advisors. Luke also created and presented investment memorandums on potential acquisitions to BlackRock’s Infrastructure Investment Committee. Lastly, they partnered with portfolio company management teams on implementing business strategies, executing and integrating add-on acquisitions, and performing capital markets fundraising activities.

Luke’s experience in both the private equity and mental health industries have given him a unique perspective on how to create successful businesses. Their skills in strategy and development have been instrumental in Shift4’s success.

Luke Thomas has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Luke Thomas reports to Jared Isaacman, Chief Executive Officer. Luke Thomas works with Kevin Cronic - Chief System Architect, Doug Demko - Chief Operating Officer, and Samantha A. Weeks - Chief Transformation Officer.
