Rob Mills

Rob Mills currently serves as the Manager of Cyber Capabilities at Shift5, a position held since October 2025. Prior to this, Rob held roles at In-Q-Tel, including Senior Technology Architect for both the Intelligent Connectivity and Compute Practice and the Cybersecurity Practice from July 2023 to October 2025. Rob's experience also includes serving as a Senior Offensive Hardware Security Researcher at NVIDIA from October 2021 to July 2023. A notable portion of Rob's career was spent at Sandia National Laboratories, where responsibilities included technical policy support to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, mobile device security, and overseeing significant programs related to integrated circuit assurance. Rob began the professional journey at NVIDIA as a Hardware Engineer from March 2005 to April 2006. Rob holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
