Richard Pinder

Richard Pinder has extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles. Richard is currently working as a Controller at ShiftPixy®. In this role, they are responsible for supervising accounting and financial functions, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, and overseeing internal and external reporting.

Before joining ShiftPixy®, Richard worked as an Independent Contractor, providing CFO services. Prior to that, they were the VP Finance - Controller at Arctic Industries, LLC., where they led the finance and accounting team for manufacturing and e-commerce business lines. Richard was responsible for financial reporting, developing monthly KPI reporting, and managing daily AP, AR, billing, and collections.

Richard also has experience as a Regional Controller at Falck - American Ambulance, where they handled financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable for multiple locations. Richard has served as a Finance Board member at St Paul's Catholic Church, where they reviewed capital projects and worked on marketing programs.

In their earlier career, Richard served as the Chief Financial Officer at HarborPoint Media LLC and Progressive Components. Richard also worked as the Vice President of Finance/CFO and General Manager at H&S Media, Inc. and as the Corporate Controller at Hollinger International, Inc. In these roles, they handled financial reporting, auditing, treasury management, HR, and assisted in the due diligence process for acquisitions and dispositions.

Throughout their career, Richard has demonstrated expertise in financial management, compliance, reporting, and team leadership.

Richard Pinder received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Accounting and Computer Science from North Central College, where they studied from 1981 to 1985. Richard then enrolled in the Executive Business Management Program at the University of Wisconsin - Madison for the academic year 2002-2003, but it is unspecified whether they obtained a degree from that program. In addition, Richard Pinder obtained the Certified Public Accountant certification from the Illinois CPA Society in February 1989.
