Ilona Charles

Ilona Charles has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. In 2010, they served as the Group Executive People & Performance at Medibank Private, where they were responsible for the people and culture strategy, internal communications, and business transformation. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as the Executive Director Human Resources at Telstra, overseeing all aspects of the Human Resources and People Strategy for the Retail Division.

In 2016, Ilona Charles became the Chief People Officer at Aconex, a global Australian company providing collaboration technologies for project management. Ilona led the people strategy globally and played a key role in the executive team. Following this, from 2018 to 2019, they served as the Executive Director People at CSIRO and Chief People Officer at Oracle.

Ilona Charles has also been involved in various non-executive director roles. Ilona was a Non Executive Director at Goulburn Valley Health from 2018 to 2022, and they currently hold the position of a Non Executive Director at intelliHR since 2021. Ilona has also served as a Non Executive Director at LaunchVic since 2020.

In 2019, they founded and became the CEO of PivotNow Pty Ltd, a company focused on innovative solutions. Currently, they are the CEO and Co-Founder of shilo.people, a platform providing on-demand human resources talent across different industries and levels of experience.

Ilona Charles has a Graduate Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Ilona also holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration from Swinburne University of Technology. Additionally, they have a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from La Trobe University. In May 2023, they obtained a certification in VC Catalyst from the Wade Institute of Entrepreneurship.
