Erica Robinett

Erica Behrens Robinett serves as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for the Shimmick Company businesses. Erica supports the legal affairs at Shimmick, ranging from corporate matters, pursuit and active project support, working closely with the operational teams, claims support, litigation management, Legal Risk Management, employment matters, Insurance, and Surety.

Erica is a highly experienced attorney in handling the transactional and litigation needs of construction clients for over 25 years. Before joining Shimmick in 2016 she spent her career in private practice working first for a well known boutique construction firm in Los Angeles, Montelone and McCrory and then continued her legal work at Watt, Tieder, Hoffer & Fitzgerald, LLP, a national construction law firm. She has significant experience in supporting large general contractors in developing complex construction claims and supporting multi-million-dollar litigation matters in public works and private construction including Dillingham-Ray Wilson v. City of Los Angeles (2010) 182 Cal.App.4th 1396. Erica also has extensive experience in a variety of transactional work, negotiations, business support, risk mitigation measures and governance, and corporate management issues. Her broad expertise and breadth of experience support Shimmick’s development as a business, its operational streamlining, and its various business and legal needs.

Erica received her law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
