Jimmy Draper is a Vice President of Southwest Division for Shimmick. He has over 20 years of experience in heavy civil construction and brings a wide range of experience in managing complex heavy civil projects including design/build, heavy rail, bus transit, technical bridges, dams, flood control, and water treatment.

Jimmy joined Shimmick full time in 2000, after spending a year in the Shimmick intern program while completing his college degree. During his 20 years with Shimmick, he has worked on or led many successful jobs in the Southwest. Some of his key public works projects include the $88 million Henry Ford Grade Separation, $175 million San Fernando Valley Bus Rapid Transit project, the $95 million Big Tujunga Dam Seismic Retrofit, the $156 million San Vicente Dam Raise, the $188 million Robert B. Diemer Water Treatment Plant, and the $200 million Groundwater Replenishment System Final Expansion.

Jimmy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Southern California.
