Kevin D. McLaughlin

Kevin McLaughlin is VP of Shimmick’s National Division. Kevin has over 34 years of experience in the construction and engineering industry, all of which have been with a Shimmick group company. He has worked on major infrastructure construction projects including highways, dams, and hydroelectric plants, most recently serving as the Project Director and Executive Sponsor of the $1.8 billion Olmsted Dam project for USACE.

His responsibilities have provided a broad-based background in all aspects of the construction industry and have progressed systematically from entry-level engineering, through project controls, field engineering, estimating, contracts, engineering manager, and project manager. Kevin has managed numerous large projects, including the E-470 Toll Road (Segments II, II, and IV) in Denver, Colorado, and the SR-125 Gap Connector and Toll Road, San Diego, California. He is highly skilled in all elements of subcontractor coordination and oversight. He has completed assignments for public and private clients and has cost-plus and fixed-price contract delivery experience.
