Matthew D.

Matthew D. is an experienced Project Manager at Shimmick Construction, leading the Golden Gate Bridge Physical Suicide Deterrent System Project since September 2019. Prior to this role, Matthew held various positions at Fluor Corporation from October 2009 to September 2019, including Manager II of the Heavy Lift & Onsite Transport group and Construction/Rigging Engineer, responsible for providing rigging engineering support globally across all business lines. Matthew’s earlier career includes serving as a Field Engineer and Rigging Engineer for Bechtel at multiple high-profile projects from June 2002 to October 2009, and a Structural Engineer role at Ruby+Associates, Inc. in 2000. Matthew holds an M.B.A. from the University of California, Davis (2015), a Master of Science in Civil Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University (2000).
