James Cisneros (JB)

James "JB" Cisneros is an accomplished administrator and screenwriter with extensive experience in management, leadership, sales training, and economic development since 2018 with the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians. As a screenwriter and author, James has written 18 screenplays, earning recognition as a finalist in various film projects across multiple genres. Additionally, James founded the Native American Jr. Golf Association and held various leadership positions, including Tribal Administrator for the Torres Martinez Desert Cahuilla Indians and Branch Manager for Hertz. A holder of a Bachelor's degree in Communication from The University of Kansas, James's diverse career spans the fields of entertainment, non-profit, and corporate management.

The Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians is a federally recognized Native American Tribe practicing sovereignty and self-sufficiency. Our vision is to empower Tribal Members to thrive in the modern world while preserving their cultural foundations. The Tribe provides healthcare to many within the local community through the Shingle Springs Health and Wellness Center (Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health, and Pharmacy). We also offer outreach services through the Shingle Springs Tribal TANF Program in Sacramento, El Dorado, Placer and Yolo Counties. The Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians is deeply committed to sustaining and improving the quality of life for both Tribal Members and the general community alike. This guiding principle is a responsibility and a privilege of the Tribe as it strives to make a meaningful difference in the lives of its members, employees and patrons.
