Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians
Lindsey Maiss serves as the Grants Financial Manager and Bookkeeper for the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians since August 2020, following a role as Fiscal Technician - Payroll with the County of El Dorado - Sheriff's Office from August 2018 to August 2020. Prior experience includes Operations Manager at Grace Patriot Wines from May 2014 to August 2018 and earlier positions as a Cellar, Tasting Room, and Administrative Assistant at GRACE PATRIOT WINES INC. from January 2013 to May 2014, Head Surf Instructor at Surf Diva, Inc. from February 2008 to April 2012, and Copywriter at KnowledgeCity from September 2009 to June 2010, where notable contributions included crafting scripts for national advertisements. Educational qualifications include a BA in Economics and a BA in Literature/Writing from UC San Diego, and a certification in Wine Business Management from Sonoma State University. Additionally, Lindsey served as a Catechist at Mary Star of the Sea from 2006 to 2008.

The Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians is a federally recognized Native American Tribe practicing sovereignty and self-sufficiency. Our vision is to empower Tribal Members to thrive in the modern world while preserving their cultural foundations. The Tribe provides healthcare to many within the local community through the Shingle Springs Health and Wellness Center (Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health, and Pharmacy). We also offer outreach services through the Shingle Springs Tribal TANF Program in Sacramento, El Dorado, Placer and Yolo Counties. The Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians is deeply committed to sustaining and improving the quality of life for both Tribal Members and the general community alike. This guiding principle is a responsibility and a privilege of the Tribe as it strives to make a meaningful difference in the lives of its members, employees and patrons.
