Robert Olson

Director Medical Science Liaison at Shionogi

Robert Olson has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Robert started their career in 1991 as a Clinical Pharmacist at the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics and later worked as a Clinical Pharmacist at Critical Care America from 1992 to 1994. Robert then joined the Primary Children's Medical Center of Intermountain Healthcare as a Clinical Pharmacist from 1994 to 2003. In 2003, they briefly worked at Altius Health Plans as the Clinical Pharmacy Programs and Pharmacy Benefits Manager before joining Novartis as a Regional Scientific Manager in the same year. From 2004 to 2008, they served as the Director of Pharmacy at Promise Healthcare. Robert then joined Shionogi Inc in 2008 and worked there as a Medical Science Liaison from 2008 to 2010, and later became the Director, Medical Science Liaison from 2010 onwards. In 2012, they joined Amgen as a Senior Regional Medical Liaison, a position they held until 2015. Throughout their career, Mr. Olson has demonstrated their expertise in the pharmaceutical and healthcare field, with a focus on research, medical science, and pharmacy management.

Robert Olson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Utah, attending the university from 1989 to 1991. Prior to that, from 1985 to 1988, they studied Chemistry at Utah State University. Later, Robert pursued a Master of Business Administration in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, where they were enrolled from 1993 to 1995. Finally, they completed their education with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida, attending from 2000 to 2002.
