Jose-Ignacio Flores began their professional career in 1998 as a Country Manager for Ericsson where they were responsible for launching a network of service centers across 9 states and multiple partner service centers. Jose-Ignacio also supported sales efforts and implemented new products into the market. In 2001, they moved to Sony Mobile Communications as a Product Marketing Manager, where they represented the ROW region as a Key Account Manager and assisted product engineers on development of features based on Latin American business needs. In 2003, they founded Ahayo LLC, creating a brand of Camera Accessories and commercializing it online. In 2007, they founded Etail Fulfillment, providing third party fulfillment services for eCommerce with over 600,000 sqf of warehouse space. In 2008, they founded Shipedge, a cloud-based Supply Chain Solution that helps 3PL warehouses, distribution centers and eCommerce companies run efficient order fulfillment Omni Channel operations. In 2014, Etail Fulfillment was acquired.

Jose-Ignacio Flores attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1994 to 1998, graduating with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) with Telecommunications Specialization (MS) in Electrical & Computer Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Escuela Militar de Ingeniería (EMI) from 1992 to 1994.
