Beth Richardson

Beth Richardson has a strong background in software engineering, architecture, and technical writing. Beth has worked at various companies and held different roles throughout their career. Some of their notable experiences include being a Principal Software Engineer at Shippo, where they designed and implemented the Kafka developer experience and ran the company's first-ever Developer Experience survey. At Elastic, they served as a Tech Lead and Principal Software Engineer, working on projects related to deployment monitoring and cloud analytics. Beth also had leadership roles at Blackbaud, where they led architecture teams and worked on implementing new donation forms. In addition, they founded Make It Hapin, Inc. and served as the Chief Architect, designing and implementing online shopping tools. Beth has a strong technical skill set and has been involved in various aspects of the software development process, from design to implementation to mentoring.

Beth Richardson obtained a Master's Degree in Computer Software Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin from 2014 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed two Bachelor's degrees in Mathematics and Scientific Documentation from North Carolina State University from 1998 to 2003. In 1997, they participated in the Summer Secondary School Program at Harvard University, completing courses. Additionally, Beth has obtained a certification as an Elastic Certified Observability Engineer from Elastic in 2022.
