James Coyle

James Coyle has extensive experience in the brewing industry, with a career spanning over two decades. James most recently served as the Executive Chairman at Freedom Brewery since July 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Managing Director International at Shipyard Brewing Company from July 2020.

From 2016 to 2020, Coyle served as the Managing Director at The Innis & Gunn Brewing Company Ltd. Before that, they held senior positions at Marston's PLC, including Deputy Managing Director from June 2014 to January 2016, and Sales & Marketing Director from April 2008 to June 2014.

Coyle began their career at Wychwood Brewery in 1999 as the Sales Director, where they stayed until April 2008.

James Coyle attended Trinity High school in Glasgow. After completing high school, they enrolled in the University of Strathclyde to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics & Marketing.
