Steven Harding has a diverse work experience history. Steven currently serves as a trustee for the Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA) since May 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief Executive Officer for the Shire of East Pilbara starting from March 2021. Steven also held the role of WA Committee Member for the Australian Water Association from June 2020 to July 2022. Additionally, Steven served as a trustee for CEDA from May 2019 to June 2021 and as the Director of Infrastructure Services for the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale from May 2018 to March 2021. Before that, they served as the Managing Director for Croesus Consulting from October 2015 to March 2021. Steven also held leadership roles in various organizations such as the Shire of Broome as Director of Infrastructure from August 2016 to July 2018, ViridisSolutions Pty Ltd as Managing Director from 2010 to January 2018, CT Civil Pty Ltd as General Manager (Consulting) from January 2016 to May 2016, and Austel Civil as General Manager (Consulting) from October 2015 to December 2015.

Steven Harding completed a Director course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2019. From 2013 to 2018, they pursued an Advanced Diploma in Legal Studies at the University of New England (AU). Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Business Administration from Deakin University between 1995 and 2000. Steven's undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Computing, was earned from Monash University from 1986 to 1989. Steven completed high school at Rosanna East High School in 1985.
