Ushmaleena Basumatary

Ushmaleena Basumatary is a regulatory affairs and quality management professional with extensive experience in the beauty and wellness industries. Currently serving as a Regional Regulatory Affairs and Quality Management Executive at Shiseido since February 2023, Ushmaleena has successfully led registration initiatives for premium brands in multiple regions. Previously, at Himalaya Wellness Company, Ushmaleena held the position of Senior Executive in Regulatory Affairs, where regulatory strategies were developed for APAC market launches. Additional experience includes roles at the National Cancer Centre Singapore, Central Drugs Standard Control Organization, and Mylan Laboratories Limited, with a background in regulatory compliance, product registrations, and quality control. Ushmaleena holds a Master of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutics from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Pharmaceutical Science.
