Elissa Williams

Elissa Williams has a diverse range of work experience. Elissa started their career at Yo! Basecamp as a Rock Climbing Camp Counselor in 2005. Elissa then worked as a Rock Climbing Guide at New River Mountain Guides from 2006 to 2007. In 2008, Elissa joined Fayette County Schools WV as a High School Math Teacher, teaching various math courses and collaborating with other teachers to improve instruction. Elissa left this position in 2016. During the same year, Elissa co-founded New River Academics, LLC, a tutoring agency focused on providing academic coaching services to students in West Virginia. Elissa is currently working at Shmoop as an AB/BC Calculus Math Content Writer.

Elissa Williams pursued their education with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Davidson College, which they completed in the period between 2004 and 2008.
