John Ogilvie

John Ogilvie is a Modelling & Simulation Engineer at Shoal Group Pty Ltd, specializing in decision support analytics for defence and space clients since July 2022. Previously, John served as a Graduate Engineer in the Defence & Space department at the same company. Prior experience includes roles at Valiant Space focusing on non-toxic propulsion systems, and as a Product Design & Testing Engineer at BreatheSafe. John contributed to industry best practices through participation in the Astra Program and engaged in research within the Sustainable Minerals Institute. John's engineering career began with internships and leadership roles at various organizations, including Airbus, UQ Space, and Nearsat. John holds a Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Science from The University of Queensland and is currently pursuing a PhD in Astrodynamics at UNSW Canberra.
