Rusul Albusultan

Rusul Albusultan is an R&D Electrical Engineer I at Shockwave Medical, specializing in PCB design for Shock Generators since September 2025. Prior experience includes serving as a System Engineer Consultant at VTA, supporting Light Rail development, and working at Mott MacDonald as a Systems Engineer I, where responsibilities involved collaborating with designers on system needs and reviewing electrical designs for the Light Rail system. Albusultan interned at Amazon in hardware development, addressing component shortages and participating in new product implementation, and had earlier roles that included mentoring female engineering students at SEDS UCSD, conducting research on transportation issues through the Dwight David Eisenhower Transportation Fellowship, and tutoring mathematics at Napa Valley College. Albusultan holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from UC San Diego and an Associate of Science in Natural Sciences from Napa Valley College.
