Thomas Birmingham has extensive work experience in various leadership roles, primarily in the field of information technology. Their most recent position is as the Chief Information Officer at SHOEBACCA.COM, a role they began in 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Revelation-IT as a Managing Consultant specializing in IT Strategy, Transformation Leadership, and Enterprise Architecture.

From 2019 to 2020, Birmingham served as the Chief Information Officer at Ideal Image, where they led a growth-oriented transformation roadmap and adapted retail and technology best practices to the Medspa industry. Prior to their time at The Container Store, Birmingham worked at EY in management consulting, where they conducted various consulting projects for clients in different industries, and at Sempra Energy, where they led strategic planning and new technology integration for the TXU Corporation generating division.

Birmingham began their career as a Computer Science Instructor at Tarrant County College from 1984 to 1986.

Thomas Birmingham has a diverse education history specializing in fields such as innovation, entrepreneurship, strategy, and data science. Thomas completed a certificate program in Innovation & Entrepreneurship from Stanford University from 2016 to 2022, where they studied Design Thinking, Modern Organizational & Team Design, Decision Quality, and Value Driven Risk Management. Additionally, they attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2017 to 2020, participating in executive and professional programs focused on AI & Strategy, Digital Business Strategy, Organizational Transformation, Corporate Innovation Strategy, Data Science & Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT), and Cybersecurity. Thomas furthered their education in data science through a certificate in Executive Data Science from the Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Programs.
