Jorge Rojas

Jorge Rojas has over 10 years of professional experience in the IT industry. Jorge started their career in 2010 as a Development Analyst at ONUVA. In 2011, they joined SITVEN, C.A. as a Development Engineer I, where they worked with Linux Servers, PHP, PostgreSQL, and Subversion. Later that year, they joined Bancaribe as an Application Specialist and Senior Application Consultant, specializing in the Cobis suite. In 2016, they joined Meraki Tech Group as an Operations Manager and Problem Management Coordinator, working with Oracle Retail modules such as RMS, RPM, REIM, SIM, RIB, RESA, OBIEE, and BIP. In 2019, they joined Accusys Technology as an IT Consultant, working with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC). Jorge also joined ShokWorks as an Infrastructure Team Lead / Technical Project Manager, where they were responsible for understanding clients' needs, designing well-architected systems, managing the workload of the team, and reporting progress to clients and management. Jorge also developed skills in AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Firebase Administration, repository management, CI/CD implementation, IaaC, and Linux Operating Systems.

Jorge Rojas obtained a Systems Engineer degree from Universidad Nacional Experimental Politécnica de la Fuerza Armada between 2005 and 2010. Jorge then went on to receive an Advanced Diploma in Information Technology Management from Universidad Metropolitana (VE) in 2018. In addition to their formal education, Rojas holds a Scrum Foundation Professional Certificate from CertiProf (obtained in August 2020), an Inbound Certified from HubSpot Academy (obtained in August 2019), and three certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS): AWS Business Professional, AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials, and AWS Technical Professional.
