D'Amonte Ellis has a diverse range of work experience starting in 2014 as a Basketball Coach for the Illinois Basketball Academy. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Sales Associate at Foot Locker, where they learned customer service skills and prioritized improving the shopping experience for customers. After that, D'Amonte worked at Weiss Memorial Hospital and Westlake Hospital as a Central Supply Processing Department Technician, where they were responsible for managing inventory and implementing best practices for operational performance. In 2018, they transitioned to Yusen Logistics (Americas) Inc. as a Warehouse Coordinator, handling inventory, resolving discrepancies, and making arrangements for shipping merchandise. In 2020, D'Amonte became the Head Basketball Coach for St. Laurence HS Feeder Program and also coached the Freshman and Sophomore AAU teams at Chicago Hoops AAU. In 2021, they became a Regional Supervisor at We Got Game, LLC, overseeing youth sports coaching classes. In 2022, D'Amonte worked as a Head Basketball Coach at Grace Lutheran School and a Youth Basketball Coach for the Chicago Bulls. Finally, in 2023, they became a Teacher Assistant in the Achieve Program at Willowbrook High School and an Assistant Track and Field Coach.

D'Amonte Ellis attended York Comm High School from 2006 to 2010, earning a High School Diploma. After that, they enrolled in Western Illinois University from 2010 to 2011, focusing on Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. D'Amonte then transferred to the College of DuPage, where they pursued a degree in Business Administration and Management, General, from 2012 to 2015, earning an Associate of Arts - AA degree. D'Amonte later returned to the College of DuPage to further their education in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services, although the specific years for this are unknown.
