Fernanda Montiel Lerma

Fernanda Montiel Lerma is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in architecture and development across various industries. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Shopify since January 2024, Fernanda previously held the position of Software Architect R&D at Flexspring, focusing on aligning ecosystem architecture with product management and implementing DevOps practices. Prior experience includes leading cloud application design at VOTI Detection, where responsibilities encompassed the development of IoT products and secure installations for high-profile clients. As a software architect at GTA, Fernanda led the implementation of microservices for data management systems. With a strong academic background including a Master's degree in Computer Science from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Fernanda also contributed to education as a university professor and operated as an independent consultant for over a decade.
