Kaz Nejatian

Kaz Nejatian was named Chief Operating Officer of Shopify in September 2022.

Kaz was previously the VP of Product - a role he held on to following his promotion. As such, Kaz leads a cross-functional team that develops and delivers tools for entrepreneurs to supercharge their growth. Prior to Shopify, Kaz was the Product Lead for Payments and Billing at Facebook. Kaz is the former CEO of Kash, a payment technology company that he founded and which was acquired by a large financial services company in 2017.

Prior to his career in technology, Kaz was a lawyer practising with a multi-national law firm based out of New York. He is a graduate of Queen’s University’s School of Business and the University of Toronto Faculty of Law.
