Mattie Toia

Mattie Toia currently serves as Vice President of Infrastructure at Shopify since May 2021, after previously holding several director-level engineering positions within the organization. Prior to Shopify, Mattie Toia spent nearly a decade at Google, where notable roles included Director of Engineering overseeing Site Reliability Engineering for Google Cloud Platform and Product Area Lead for DevOps Infrastructure SRE. Responsibilities encompassed managing large engineering teams and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of various critical systems. Earlier experiences include senior engineering roles at Raytheon, as well as a position as a Residential Computing Consultant at Tufts University. Mattie Toia holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Tufts University.
