Volmer Campos Soares

Volmer Campos Soares is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in developing and enhancing platforms, currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Shopify since July 2014, focusing on engineering challenges and mentoring teams. Previously, Volmer held roles at Shopify as a Software Engineering Manager and Software Engineer, contributing to the modernization of the Shopify Checkout system. Prior to Shopify, Volmer worked at Plataformatec and EBC, specializing in web applications and multimedia systems using Ruby on Rails, as well as developing APIs in Python and PHP. Early career experience includes creating device drivers and APIs for ATMs at Instituto de Pesquisas Eldorado, and embedded software development for mobile devices at BRISA. Volmer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Universidade Católica de Brasília, earned in 2009.
