Rares Saftoiu

Rares Saftoiu has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Rares co-founded Shopventory in 2013 and has held various roles within the company, including Co-Founder & Head of Application Architecture, Co-Founder & Software Engineer, and Co-Founder & CMO. Prior to Shopventory, they were a part of the Class of Techstars Boulder 2013 at TechStars. Additionally, Rares worked as a Technology Partner at findyoganow.com in 2012. Before that, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Intuit, where they led a team in designing and implementing an A/B testing and personalization engine for TurboTax.com. Rares also founded akumulate in 2009 and served as its Founder. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Software Engineer II at Neustar and as a Software Engineer at Webmetrics, where they developed both frontend and backend software and co-authored two pending patents. Rares began their career as a Software Engineering Intern at Intuit, Inc. and as a Data Processing Intern at Standard & Poor's.

Rares Saftoiu completed their high school education at Bronx High School of Science from 1996 to 2000, earning a High School Diploma. Following this, they attended Stony Brook University from 2000 to 2004, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Rares then pursued further education at UC San Diego from 2004 to 2010, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Computer Science.
