Julian Polzella has a long work history, beginning in 2002 when they worked as a Marketing Intelligence/Technology Researcher for British Telecommunications. In 2004, they became a Partner and Software Engineer for AH Studios, where they were responsible for the business branding and marketing, client relations, and account management. In 2007, they worked as a Web Developer for Bell Systems, where they were involved in transitioning the company to a more modern software development approach. In 2008, they worked as a Software Engineer for Palantir Economic Solutions and also founded Nift-e Labs, a university spin-out company focusing on mobile, API, and web technologies. In 2009, they founded VouChaCha Ltd., a company that enables merchants and consumers to connect through the use of location-targeted discounts. Finally, in 2013 they founded Shopwave, a company that provides point of sale, payments, couponing, and loyalty in one app.
Julian Polzella began their educational journey in 1998 at Bexleyheath Secondary School, where they completed their GCSEs in Business, ICT, Electronics, Maths, English, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and French. From 2003 to 2005, they attended Bexleyheath School Sixth Form, where they earned an A Level GCE in Business Studies, ICT, Law, and English Literature. Julian then went on to the University of East Anglia, where they completed a Computing Sciences degree from 2006 to 2009, focusing on Fundamentals/Data Structures/Architecture/Algorithms/Machine Learning.
