Adam Packer

Adam Packer has a strong background in finance, with experience in various leadership positions. Adam currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Shorelight, a position they have held since July 2023. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of Finance at Shorelight from September 2015 to July 2023.

Before joining Shorelight, Packer worked at edX as the Head of FP&A from November 2014 to September 2015. Adam also gained valuable experience at IBM, where they held multiple roles. Adam was a member of IBM's Controller's finance team, responsible for revenue and earnings forecasts, from July 2014 to November 2014. Prior to that, they participated in IBM's Finance Leadership Development Program from July 2011 to July 2014, completing assignments in technical accounting, internal audit, sales finance, and services FP&A.

Packer began their career as an Analyst at Brown Brothers Harriman from June 2007 to August 2009. Overall, they have a diverse and comprehensive finance background, with a focus on financial planning and analysis, leadership development, and strategic decision-making.

Adam Packer earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Vermont from 2003 to 2007. Following this, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance at the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University from 2009 to 2011.
