Lenfree Yeung has a diverse work experience in engineering roles. Starting in 2013, Lenfree worked at Ecetera as a Senior Engineer, where they were part of a team that built the Telstra Online Platform (TOP). This platform allowed users to easily deploy applications within minutes. In 2015, they joined Telstra again as a Senior Platform Engineer/Automation Engineer. Lenfree then moved on to Arbor Networks, the security division of NETSCOUT, in 2017, where they served as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2019, they joined Commonwealth Bank as a Senior System Engineer and stayed until 2020. In 2021, Lenfree worked at Shorthand and Telstra again, holding the roles of Engineer and Senior Site Reliability Engineer, respectively.

Lenfree Yeung attended Ateneo de Zamboanga University from an unknown start year until 2007. There, Lenfree obtained a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Computer Engineering. After completing their degree, Lenfree pursued additional certifications. In October 2010, they obtained the Linux Professional Institute Certified Administrator (LPIC) certification from the Linux Professional Institute. Furthermore, in July 2013, Lenfree acquired the CCNA certification from the Cisco Academy.
