Austen Stranahan

Austen Stranahan is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in various roles focused on operations, product innovation, and social impact. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer and Director of Product & Innovation at Shortlist Professionals since June 2018, Austen has contributed to developing effective hiring practices across multiple regions globally. In addition, Austen holds a position as a member of the Nairobi Business Angel Network, supporting technology startups. Prior roles include Program Associate for the Frontier Market Scouts at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, where strategies were developed for social impact internships, and a Community Health Agent with the Peace Corps, emphasizing health outreach in Rwanda. Austen holds an M.B.A. and an M.A. from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies and dual bachelor's degrees in Music Education and Music Performance from Chapman University.
