Bill Buckie

Bill Buckie has held various roles in the finance and accounting sector since 1991. Their most recent position is as CFO (part-time) at Shot Scope, a role they have held since 2015. Prior to this, they were Finance Director at ATEEDA Limited from 2006 to 2010, CFO at Fios Genomics Ltd from 2010 to 2012 (where they were also CEO from 2010 to 2012), Finance Director at Wireless Fibre Systems Limited from 2009 to 2010, Chief Financial Officer at Cascade Techn from 2004 to 2009, Chief Financial Officer at Photonic Materials Ltd from 2001 to 2004, VP Finance at Pharmagene from 1997 to 2001, and Finance Director at CambsTEC from 1991 to 1997. During their time at CambsTEC, they were responsible for annual contract negotiation with the government training department, management of contracting process with suppliers of youth training, adult education and business start-up programmes, all internal financial systems and IA function, and IT systems. Bill managed a team of 12 in the finance function, including training provider audit and QA systems.

Bill Buckie attended Grangemouth High School (GHS) from 1975 to 1979, where they obtained their B.Sc. Hons in Biochemistry 2:1 from the University of Glasgow in 1983. Bill then went on to the University of Cambridge, where they obtained a PhD, M.Phil, and BSc Hons in Biochemistry, Pharmacology, and Immunology between 1983 and 1986.
