Marcelo Gallicchio has extensive work experience in the sports industry. Marcelo began their career in 2000 as an Estadisticas at Tenfield and later took on various roles in the Federación Uruguaya de Basket Ball, including Stats, Scouting, and Assistant Coach. In 2011, they joined FIBA, where they worked as a Technical Delegate, Graphic Operator, and Estadisticas. From 2015 to 2019, Gallicchio served as a Senior Business Development Manager at SportingPulse International and Genius Sports. Marcelo also worked as a Sports Partnership Director at Atrium Sports and Synergy Sports Technology. Most recently, they became the Director of Business Development LATAM at ShotQuality in 2022.
Marcelo Gallicchio pursued their education in a chronological manner, beginning in 1993 when they attended ISEF - Uruguay to earn a degree in Entrenador Deportivo in the field of Basquetbol. From 2010 to 2011, they enrolled at CLAEH and became an Educador through distance education. In 2010, they also commenced a Diploma de Posgrado en Gestión, Economía y Derecho del Deporte at Université de Limoges, which they completed in 2012. Additionally, from 2011 to 2012, Marcelo Gallicchio furthered their education by pursuing the same diploma at Universidad de la República.
