David Ritchie

David Ritchie serves as the Senior Training and Instructional Design Manager at SoundThinking, with a tenure beginning in August 2023. Concurrently, David holds a longstanding position with the Harris County Sheriff's Office, starting in October 1991, where roles include Law Enforcement Instructor and Police Sergeant. As Sergeant of the Technical Operations Unit, responsibilities entail overseeing technical investigative functions, including the management of various surveillance and investigative technologies. David also acted as the ShotSpotter Agency Administrator, facilitating the implementation of the ShotSpotter Gunshot Detection system. Prior to these positions, David was a Security Specialist in the United States Air Force from 1986 to 1991, engaging in multiple roles such as Security Flight Leader and Convoy Response Force member. David's educational background includes studies at the Community College of the Air Force and the University of Houston-Downtown.
