Sam Klepper is the Senior Vice President, Marketing and Product Strategy at ShotSpotter. Sam has over 25 years of experience in technology-enabled services and software companies. Klepper has a proven track record in product development, go-to-market strategies, and sales execution.

Klepper was previously the President and CEO of Lavante, Inc., a leading provider of cloud-based supplier management software for Fortune 1000 Finance and Procurement departments. Sam was brought in to lead the transition of the technology-enabled services company to a SaaS business with a new offering that significantly reduces the cost of supplier onboarding in the enterprise. Klepper worked with the team to develop pricing, positioning, and sales processes for the new SaaS service. Sam also landed initial Fortune 1000 reference accounts and more than doubled ACV.

Before Lavante, Klepper was the CMO & EVP, Intelligent Building Solutions at Redwood Systems (acquired by CommScope). In this role, they were responsible for product development, go-to-market strategies, and sales execution for the company’s intelligent building solutions.

Klepper has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University and an MBA from Stanford University.

Sam Klepper attended Harvard University for their undergraduate degree, where they studied history and science. Sam then went on to earn their MBA from Harvard Business School.

Sam Klepper reports to Ralph A. Clark, President & CEO. They work with Paul Reeves - Vice President, Customer Success, Jon Magin - Vice President, International Sales – Latin America, and Jean Chay - Corporate Controller.
