Cassandra Owens

Cassandra Owens is a product designer who has worked in the design industry for over seven years. Cassandra started their career as an intern at theONEco., where they assisted in producing designs for clients such as logos, brochures, and websites. Cassandra then moved on to BiblioCommons, where they worked as a UX designer on a CMS product. In their role at BiblioCommons, Cassandra worked with management, developers, and QA to create a user interface that is engaging and easy to use for the broad user base of the library world. Tasks include creating wireframes/mockups for both desktop and mobile experiences, working with clients to make sure brand standards are met, making improvements to the product based on user feedback, user testing, and analytics. Cassandra is currently employed as a product designer at Showbie.

Cassandra Owens has an educational background in both design and multimedia. Cassandra started their studies with an Interactive Multimedia Certificate from Sheridan College. Cassandra then went on to complete a Design Studies Diploma in Design and Digital Media from MacEwan University.
