Sophie McGarity

Sophie McGarity started their work experience as a Co-Creator and Software Engineer at Artemis from January 2022 to June 2022. Sophie designed cloud infrastructure and implemented solutions for load testing and automation using AWS CloudFormation, CDK, and SDK.

Sophie then worked as a Software Engineer at Gatsby from July 2022 to January 2023. Their responsibilities included contributing to the Gatsby open-source repository, maintaining distributed services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and writing automated tests using Jest.

Currently, they are working as a Software Engineer at Highlight since April 2023.

Sophie McGarity's education history is as follows:

From 2020 to 2022, Sophie attended Launch School and studied Computer Software Engineering. Sophie did not obtain a degree during this time.

From 2016 to 2019, Sophie attended De Montfort University and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Media Production.

In 2016, Sophie also attended Kyushu University for a Summer School program focused on Asia in Today's World. It is unclear if they obtained a degree during this time.

In 2015, Sophie attended De Montfort University and obtained a Certificate of Higher Education in Film Studies.

In addition to their formal education, Sophie has also acquired various certifications. In March 2023, they obtained the Graph Developer - Associate and Graph Developer - Professional certifications from Apollo GraphQL. In January 2020, they completed the Learning Functional Programming with JavaScript and SQL Essential Training certifications from Lynda.com. In March 2019, Sophie obtained the HSK Level 1 certification from De Montfort University.
