Apratim Purakayastha

Apratim Purakayastha (AP) brings a proven track record of delivering strong operating performance and excellent financial results throughout his over 25-year career in various leadership roles within the software sector.

Most recently, he served as General Manager of Talent Development Solutions at Skillsoft, where he oversaw a $400 million enterprise subscription business, as well as millions of CodeAcademy consumer learners. He also served as the Chief Product Officer and Chief Technical Officer while at SkillSoft. AP also currently serves on the Board of Advisors for Konovo, a leading AI-led healthcare intelligence company.

Prior, AP served as Chief Operating Officer of SumTotal Systems, where he returned its learning management system (LMS) product to growth. Additionally, he was a Group President at ACI Worldwide, running its SaaS payments P&L. Earlier in his career, AP was a director at IBM, where he built the company’s first commercial SaaS offering, LotusLive. He also worked in IBM Research and has over a dozen U.S. patents, as well as several research publications including a book. AP previously served on the Board of Advisors for Saama, a clinical trial software company, and Nuvepro, a cloud learning company.

AP holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Duke University, M.S. in Computer Science from Washington State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Jadavpur University in India.
