Edward Bittner MD, PhD, MSEd is an established Associate Professor of Anaesthesia at Harvard Medical School since December 2010 and has extensive experience at Massachusetts General Hospital, where roles have included Fellowship Director of Critical Care Anesthesiology and Associate Director of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Bittner's clinical focus includes anesthesiology and critical care, with previous positions as Chief Resident and Critical Care Fellow. Additional responsibilities involve serving as an In House Physician at Shriners Hospitals for Children. Educational achievements include a Doctor of Medicine from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, a Doctor of Philosophy in Biostatistics from Tulane University, and a Master of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior experience includes working as a Statistical Analyst at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and an Internship in Medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital.
