John Blanton

John Blanton serves as the Associate Director of Community & Group Fundraising at Shriners Children's since April 2024, where responsibilities include creating and developing new volunteer-led fundraising programs and supporting peer-to-peer fundraising efforts. Previously, John held various positions at Compassion International from January 2007 to May 2023, including Event Influencer Partnership Manager, where contributions totaled $2.8 million in revenue through partnership development, and Program Manager for the Event Volunteer Program, which improved response rates. Additionally, as a Road Rep and Event Facilitator, John facilitated over 50 events annually, training volunteers to engage diverse audiences. John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising from the University of South Carolina, along with additional education from Exec-Comm and Karrass.
