Matt Piccinin is the co-founder of both Shuckin Shack Oyster Bar and Shuckin Shack Restaurant Franchise. Matt began their work with Shuckin Shack Oyster Bar in 2007 and Shuckin Shack Restaurant Franchise in 2014.
From 2003 to 2006, Matt Piccinin attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Marketing.

When the Shuckin' Shack opened their first oyster bar in Carolina Beach, North Carolina over a decade ago, the goals were simple; create a cozy, fresh seafood restaurant that consistently delivers steamed or raw oysters within a fun, sports pub environment. We create an warm "locals" experience with an emphasis on great food, craft beers and specialty drinks at a really good price. When opening our second location in Downtown Wilmington North Carolina we learned to develop the operations and training systems needed to replicate our success. With 17 restaurants operating in five states, we've documented our training and support systems and we continue to evolve them almost every day. Now we look forward to further expansion across the nation in 2022 and are seeking prospective franchisees that want an affordable restaurant franchise with a loyal following and a fresh brand experience.
