Ryan Kobs

Ryan Kobs is a seasoned principal and registered patent attorney at Shumaker & Sieffert, focusing on patent prosecution, opinion, and portfolio management across various technologies, including medical devices, data storage, user interfaces, and mechanical systems. With experience dating back to 2005 in roles ranging from law clerk to patent attorney, Ryan has developed expertise in preparing patent applications and corresponding with the USPTO and PCT. Educational credentials include a J.D. in Intellectual Property from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering, all from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to legal work, Ryan engaged in research related to pulmonary hypertension and participated in engineering and biophysics internships.
