Dan Cyr

Dan Cyr is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in software and machine learning, currently serving as a Machine Learning and Software Engineer at Shure Incorporated since March 2024. Prior to this role, Dan held the position of Senior Software Architect at Midmark Corporation, where significant contributions included optimizing image quality and calibration processes for a Cone Beam Computed Tomography dental X-ray scanner, and successfully navigating FDA 510k approval. Dan's experience also encompasses a role as Manager of Data and Analytics at CapTech, focusing on big-data engineering for an Anti-Money-Laundering project at a Fortune 100 bank, and as a Senior Software Design Engineer at Tektronix, where Dan specialized in optical analyzers and UI/UX design. Dan holds a Master's degree in High Energy Particle Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a BS in Physics, Computer Science, and Mathematics from the University of Puget Sound.
