David Cerra

David Cerra has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. David started their career at Shure, Inc. in 1995 as an engineer and worked there until 2006. David then joined Sound Devices, LLC in 2006 as an engineering manager. In 2009, David returned to Shure, Inc. and held various positions including Director of Engineering and Senior Director of Engineering. In 2014, they became the Associate Vice President of Engineering - Conferencing and Audio Processing, and in 2017, they assumed the role of Vice President of Engineering - Conferencing and Audio Processing.

David Cerra received a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Music Technology from DePaul University from 1987 to 1991. David then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago from 1991 to 1995. Lastly, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University from 2000 to 2004.
