James Spence is an experienced engineering professional specializing in RF and wireless technologies. Currently serving as a Project Engineer at Shure Incorporated since May 2019, James previously worked at Nokia from April 2011 to May 2019, where roles included Global Head of WiFi Hardware Development and WiFi Hardware Technical Lead. In these positions, James managed all hardware development aspects of Nokia’s carrier WiFi portfolio, leading cross-functional teams and engaging with customers to enhance product strategies. Prior to Nokia, James held several engineering roles at Motorola from January 2001 to April 2011, including Engineering Section Manager and Senior Staff RF Engineer, focusing on various telecommunications equipment projects. James began the engineering career at Micro-Coax as an Associate Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University.
